Plans for Limpsfield in Bloom 2008

After the excitement of being awarded ‘Gold’ and ‘Best in South East’ for 2007, the Limpsfield in Bloom team is now working on plans for 2008. Lots of ideas have been put forward, including:

• further improvements at the top of the High Street near the A25 traffic lights, removing nettles and scrub.

• improving the area by the bridge in Bluehouse Lane, reinstating the footpath and strengthening the banks of the stream.

• bigger and better displays for 2008.

You too may have great ideas of your own to suggest.

“We’ll need to work hard to maintain and improve on the high standard achieved in 2007”, says Ann Osborn, the moving force (with Lillian Hindley) behind the Limpsfield initiative. “We’ll need all the support we can get from local residents, and look forward to seeing as many people as possible turning out for our Maintenance Days. Limpsfield Village looked just great when the judges visited in July. We now need to keep it looking great throughout the year.”
